Katorah "Kat" Kasanova Marreo was born April 3, 1992 in Brooklyn. She grew up with a single mother and at the age of seven they moved to Virgínia where she played tackle football. Marreo moved back to New York when she was 17 around the same time her brother was murdered.
Young M.A started writing rhymes when she was nine but first came to internet prominence through her "Brooklyn" Chiraq Freestyle in the summer of 2014. In late 2015, she released breakthrough mixtape 'Sleep Walkin.' Her smash hit "OOOUUU" has brought her to mainstream success, having constant radio play on New York City's top Hip-Hop stations Hot 97 and Power 105.
She is on of The FADER's artist to watch in 2016.
